What your 8 hour shift in this role might involve at OC-Minneapolis:

The purpose of the Contract Recruiter is to support the continuous operation of the Minneapolis facility. This position is responsible for carrying out recruitment-related tasks as it relates to the successful sourcing of qualified candidates.

Here is a brief outline of this role…

Post open positions both internally and externally, advertising the organization's roles accurately
Utilizes the organizations systems to coordinate candidate phone screens and select qualified candidates
Schedules on-site interviews, coordinates interview questions calibration materials
Calibrates with hiring managers during the offer process; owns the pre-employment screening process.
Lead primary recruiting efforts
Greet guests and answer phones
Support leadership with plant-based events and meetings
Maintain confidentiality with sensitive personnel information

What makes a successful OC—Minneapolis team member:

Must haves include…

High school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere with minimal direct supervision.

Would be terrific if you also had…

Experience in manufacturing, but not required.
Motivation to learn and advance as an Owens Corning employee.

There are some essential physical requirements specific to our work environment, including being able to:

Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 40-pounds)
Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
Able to execute repetitive movements
