The Director of Training is responsible for the overall training needs and training strategy for OCHN staff and network to meet ongoing and future training needs. Conducts needs assessments and evaluations to determine the effectiveness of current training programs; develops training plans and budget to meet the needs of OCHN and the network. Identifies and formulates training program objectives that are specific, measurable, and attainable for the purpose of planning and evaluation. Works with subject matter experts and provider agencies to develop specific training programs and determine the most effective delivery methods. Oversees staff efforts to secure and maintain accreditation for service delivery programs by national standard-setting bodies and from federal and state Medicaid regulators.

Essential Functions

Develops overall training strategy for OCHN.
Conducts training needs assessments and develops annual training plan.
Develops and manages training activity budget.
Identifies and creates training objectives that are specific, measurable and obtainable for planning and evaluation.
Works with providers agencies to develop specific training programs to meet OCHN network needs.
Works with Contracts team in development of RFP’s.
Makes recommendations resulting from the evaluation of training programs to OCHN Administration.
Utilizes narrative reports, graphic displays and other materials to present recommendations for use in formulating decisions to maintain, eliminate, and develop OCHN training programs.
Prepares quarterly reports on the status of training programs, including analysis of their effectiveness.
Provides presentations on training activities, outcomes, and events to the OCHN Board of Directors and other stakeholder groups as scheduled and/or requested.
Serve as member of the Innovations and Operations Team and serves as a resource to all departmental teams.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with OCHN staff, providers, community partners, and other stakeholders.
Maintain excellence in all work efforts. Practices in a manner that demonstrates loyalty to the organization, integrity in the process, and honor to all ethical, legal/policy, and knowledge-based resources.
As instructed by the Chief Operating Officer, assume leadership, coordination, and/or otherwise participate in special projects and assignments.
Create learning and development activities and opportunities for staff to advance their knowledge and understanding.
Ensure that OCHN staff and network have the tools, knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to provide quality care and promote diversity, inclusion, and equity within the system.
Maintains current on regulatory and/or statutory guidelines regarding mandated/required training.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline required.
Master’s degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum five years of administrative experience in human services, government, or healthcare-related organization.
Experience in community mental health or integrated healthcare preferred.
Minimum five years’ experience in training development and implementation.
Minimum five years’ experience in a managerial or leadership capacity.

Special Information (Travel required, physical requirements, on-call schedules, etc.):

Must have available means of transportation to and from OCHN and for required offsite meetings or site visits.
Must be available for meetings and events which may occur outside of standard office hours.
Work performed primarily in an office environment.
Hybrid (onsite/remote) work schedule available.
Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
