GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition, you will be involved in the recruitment of a variety of positions such as curatorial, digital, education, finance, and administration. You will be responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and referencing candidates specifically based on federal and state employment laws. You will possess strong sourcing skills and experience building positive relationships with both active and passive candidates.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Utilizes a variety of sourcing strategies and identify organizations and colleges to partner with to engage prospective candidates
Responsible for the posting of requisitions to appropriate sites
Coordinate intake meetings with managers and establish clear search plans, including recruiting recommendations and timelines
Establish ongoing recruitment practices to establish a network of qualified candidates
Ensure a positive candidate experience by updating applicants on their status and serving as a resource
Review resumes and conduct initial interviews with qualified candidates
Oversee reference, employment and education verification process
Extend contingent offers and navigate negotiation processes; adhere to proper background check reviews, and follow up with offer letter and onboarding expectations
Notify departments of offers accepted and start dates
Assist with the creation of standard operating procedures, training guides, best practice resources and recruitment tools such as interview guides
Understand recruitment metrics and maintains recruitment activity

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
2-4 years of recruiting experience and HR experience and working in an HR team
Analytical skills, ability to review data and make decisions accordingly
Interpersonal skills and ability to interface with a range of staff and key stakeholders of the Museum
Writing skills, ability to stay organized and respond to emails and requests
Work ethic and proven history of managing projects from start to finish
Proven track record as a competent, detail-oriented, proactive team player with the ability to work independently and among a diverse group of peers in a high-pressure environment
Communication and customer service skills
Highly proficient with LinkedIn Recruiter, Excel, Outlook, Applicant Tracking System

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 / Annually

The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, special licensing or qualifications, and other factors.

Location Requirements

At time of employment, employees are expected to be located within commuting distance of the Museum. “Commuting distance” means that they are located in one of following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania (the “Tri-state and PA” areas), and be able to commute to and from the Museum in a single day.
