Williams Lea is hiring for a US Benefits Administrator to work Remotely Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm!
Pay: $75,000 to $80,000/year

The Benefits Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities within the Benefits department, and for supporting annual processes and ad hoc projects. This position also plays a significant role in recommending plan design and policy changes as needed, helping design and implement new policies/programs, and providing benefits expertise to management.
Job qualifications
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited university; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- At least five years of compensation and/or benefits administration experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and
customer service
skills
- Familiarity with local, state and/or federal laws relating to compensation and benefits, including but not limited to ERISA, FLSA, COBRA, HIPAA and ADA
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- A proficiency in/experience using HR Information Systems (e.g., Workday) preferred
- Knowledge of compensation & benefits reporting tools
- Capable of working on own projects and taking responsibility for work load
- Able to maintain confidential material
- Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating open enrollment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively assist and educate employees on benefits matters.
- Ability to stay current with changes in benefit laws and regulations.
Job duties

- Manage the day-to-day administration of the Company’s benefit plans, including but not limited to:
- Ensure integrations to benefit vendors are working as designed, troubleshoot file issues
- handle all vendor premium billing
- manually process benefit enrollments as required with vendors
- Ensure all benefit platforms are working as designed and troubleshoot as required (e.g., benefit enrollment in Workday)
- process benefit enrollments and benefit vendor payment for Canada
- Review and escalate benefit appeals in compliance with ERISA/statutory regulations
- Answer employee questions and resolve employee issues as they relate to
the Company's
benefit plans and policies.
- Act as a liaison for vendors/carriers including but limited to; Blue Cross Blue Shield, MetLife, Payflex, Sunlife, Vanguard)
- Identify process and/or policy issues and recommend changes/solutions to management
- Assume a lead role planning, communicating and implementing the annual Open Enrollment period
Assist in benefit plan design
Communicate benefits policies and procedures to employees and managers, provide benefit training as required
Assist in preparing and updating employee and supervisor handbooks
Provide ad hoc reporting as requested
Complete EEO filing
Ensure compliance with ACA regulations and manage the preparation and distribution of 1095 forms, ensuring compliance with ACA regulations.
Oversee HRSS completed Americas benefits and compensation related activities. Ensure team is trained and compliant. Review processes to ensure efficiency and statutory adherence.
Work with internal HR teams to proactively report and manage LOAs (FMLA, STDs)
Administer the 401(k) plan, including compliance and audit requirements.
Process employee lifecycle changes and updates in benefits systems.
Stay current with changes in benefits laws and regulations, ensuring the company’s benefits programs remain compliant.
Troubleshooting: Work with IT and Workday support to resolve issues.
Updates: Participate in system testing for new features or updates.
Integration: Ensure Workday's benefits module integrates effectively with other HR and payroll functions.
Automation: Leverage Workday's automation capabilities to streamline workflows.
