The Role:
As a Human Resources Advisor, you’ll be instrumental in shaping our agency’s people strategy, especially as we bridge the gap between our global operations and U.S. regulations. You’ll work closely with our international partners, ensuring compliance with U.S. laws while fostering a culturally diverse and inclusive workplace. Your role will be pivotal in guiding our team through the nuances of U.S. employment practices, all while maintaining a creative and collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Global Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Collaborate with hiring managers and international teams to attract and onboard top talent from around the world. Ensure that all hiring processes align with U.S. legal requirements while offering a seamless experience for our global candidates.
- Compliance & Advisory: Serve as the agency’s expert on U.S. employment laws, providing guidance on everything from visa and immigration issues to compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Partner with foreign stakeholders to ensure their operations in the U.S. are compliant and efficient.
- Employee Relations: Act as the key advisor for both domestic and international employees, offering support on HR policies, conflict resolution, and cross-cultural integration. Implement initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace for our diverse team.
- Learning & Development: Identify training needs specific to employees from different cultural and legal backgrounds. Develop programs that ensure everyone understands U.S. workplace norms and legal expectations while fostering continuous professional growth.
- Cultural Integration: Lead efforts to integrate foreign practices with U.S. workplace culture, ensuring that our global team feels supported, engaged, and aligned with our agency’s values and goals.
- HR Best Practices & Innovation: Stay ahead of the curve on HR trends and best practices, particularly those affecting foreign companies in the U.S. Advocate for and implement innovative HR strategies that support our agency’s growth and global expansion.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 3-5 years in Human Resources, with a strong focus on supporting foreign companies operating in the U.S. A deep understanding of U.S. employment law and its application to international business operations is essential.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate cross-cultural dynamics. You’re a diplomatic communicator who can bridge cultural gaps and foster an inclusive work environment.
- Problem-Solving Ability: You thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment and are skilled at solving the unique challenges that arise from working with international teams.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of U.S. employment law, visa and immigration processes, and HR best practices for foreign companies. Experience with cross-border HR strategies is a strong plus.
