CSP has partnered with a law firm in Washington, DC in their search for a Benefits Specialist. This role requires proficient Excel experience specifically pivot tables and vlookup. This position requires at least two years of experience, and this individual needs to be on-site in DC three days a week (remote for two).
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the day-to-day administration and communication of health and welfare programs including but not limited to health, dental, vision, flexible spending, health savings account, short and long term disability benefits, worker's compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plans.
- Drafting all Benefits letters related to onboarding, promotions, verification of benefits and departures.
- Resolving routine benefits questions and issues while providing excellent customer service within 24 hours to all internal clients; Ensuring timely, professional, consistent, and legally compliant responses are provided and documented as appropriate for every situation both orally and in written format.
- Maintaining Benefits Department Intranet page to ensure all resources are up to date; Responsible for scheduling and distribution of all Benefits Department email communications.
- Assisting with quality control measures to support bi-weekly benefits processing as it relates to the payroll system; Responsible for reconciliation process for all benefit invoices and bill payments.
- Partnering with COBRA vendor to ensure data accuracy regarding subsidies and invoicing.
- Administering the Tuition Reimbursement Program.
- Assisting with the Open Enrollment process to ensure the accuracy of employee eligibility and the accurateness of all benefit enrollments with vendors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a benefits administration role including working knowledge of pertinent state and federal regulations governing employee benefit programs.
