The Compensation and Benefits Leader is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of compensation and benefits programs and policies. This position is responsible for ensuring the programs are effective, compliant and attractive to a diverse workforce. The successful candidate is responsible for the administration, communication and compliance of all compensation and benefits programs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and implement compensation and benefits programs and policies, including salary administration and job classification systems
- Manage the salary process to ensure the organization is competitively positioned in the marketplace
- Monitor colleague eligibility to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Develop and administer key colleague benefits such as retirement plan, medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance
- Develop and maintain benefit communications, colleague handbooks, and other related documents
- Analyze and evaluate benefit programs to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws
- Design and manage incentive plans and bonus programs
- Oversee the administration of payroll and timekeeping systems
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Provide guidance and advice to human capital staff and management
- Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of experience in compensation and/or benefits management preferred
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems
