Position Summary
The Senior Associate, Training will assist the Deputy Director in the mission of leading comprehensive training schedules and providing technical assistance coordination for web-based training platform requirements and lead two NCI’s two of our newest initiatives: Coalition Launch Training and Building Coalitions for Success “Ask the Experts” Webinar series. With the guidance of the Deputy Director, assists with the day-to-day support functions required to insure and maintain a standard of excellence for a comprehensive national training delivery system. This job requires a willingness to take leadership responsibilities on tasks when there are concurrent deadlines; possess effective communication, writing and editing skills; PowerPoint and publication design skills; and serve as the NCI Website Lead Content Editor to handle website maintenance and other related application updates.
Specific Duties The Senior Associate, Training will be required, among other tasks, to:
- Assist Deputy Director with finalizing the training plans and handling the Institute sponsored trainings and webinars.
- Develop and lead the NCI web-based platform setup for training and webinar links scheduling and ensure all postings are current on the website and active for the appropriate timeline.
- Lead the TTAO Team’s customer service (regarding registration, training logistics and workstation technical assistance) to up to 500+ participants.
- Handle oversite and tracking of the shipping responsibilities of NCI training materials, including coordination with customers and vendors. Provide a monthly report to the Deputy Director for services rendered.
- Manage desktop publishing and printing.
- Serve as Lead Editor on all Training consultants in curriculum and training material development.
- Serve as the TTAO Lead on all hotel room block requirements for the National Coalition Institute NCA coalition needs.
- Lead and coordinate application access coordination, curriculum content update requirements with NCI trainers on all training materials, and reporting requirements for the Coalition Launch Training and Building Coalitions for Success “Ask the Experts” initiative.
- Responsible for setting up and coordinating NCI’s registration for the National Coalition Academy and other related training or webinars as needed.
- Serve as Lead Content Editor for the National Coalition Institute’s publications. Includes handling all requirements for the NCI New Bulletin for High and Moderate Risk States and Special Populations, and other related publications.
- Serve as NCI Website Lead Content Editor for content changes, updates, and formatting for the new NCI website.
- Develops and oversees all the NCA registration, polling and survey collections data for basic reporting and transfer information data to E&R for additional reporting.
- Serve as lead SME on our NCI software applications and tools and staff training (including sharing knowledge and best practices with other CADCA departments.
- As directed by the Deputy Director, lead facilitation of other NCI trainings and webinars.
- Lead and coordinate a wide array of training support activities for the unit (most significantly the National Coalition Academy); serve as a liaison with other departments and operating units in the administration of day-to-day training support operations (i.e., coordinate with Evaluation and Research staff and their relevant responsibilities for the NCA and other training events as needed).
- Manage and maintain NCA databases and assist with creating required training reports.
- Assist in managing and optimizing the use of digital learning environment for NCA.
- Manage and maintain NCA content on the NCI website and other publications.
- Manage and maintain CADCA's LMS, the Workstation operations: content, user accounts and site design.
- Serve as a liaison with the Learning Management System (LMS) providers, and Community Toolbox.
- Plan and coordinate NCA Graduation.
- Develop and present NCI data and related training or website information representing the NCI Team as needed.
- Attend and participate in meetings as appropriate.
Required Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

- Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
- Experience working with a variety of software including, but not limited to MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); SharePoint, publishing software’s (Adobe Acrobat, Quark and/or lnDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and understanding of CRM system.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
- Demonstrated expertise in the use of social media for dissemination.
Training and Credentials
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Knowledge of public health, community coalition, substance abuse, and/or related issues is a plus.
