The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated professional to serve as the Culture and Belonging Coordinator. This position will provide administrative and logistical support across Community and Culture Programs that include:
- Underrepresented in Medicine (URIM) Fellowship
- Bring Your Kid to Work Day
- Community Connections Initiative
- Staff DEI Committee
- Students Capturing the OR Experience (SCORE)
- Undergraduate Research Internship (URI) Program
- Faces for the Future Program
- Other departmental DEI events, training, workshops, and wellness initiatives
This position will assist the Director of Culture and Belonging in administrative and operational tasks, including applying professional concepts to conduct analytical studies, data collection, program assessment, reporting, and providing informed recommendations. This position will also be responsible for coordinating logistics of events, programs, and special projects.
The Culture and Belonging Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Culture and Belonging and will work closely with the Vice Chair of DEI and the Staff DEI Committee to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Community and Culture Programs and other DEI events, training, and workshops. This position will play a crucial role in developing processes and implementing initiatives to enhance employee culture in areas of diversity, equity and inclusion, well-being.
This position requires a passion for and demonstrated commitment to DEI work, knowledge of DEI best practices, the ability to move between different projects and timelines, and the organizational skills to manage collaboration across staff, faculty, learners, community organizations, and special interest groups.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $55,700 - $90,000 (Annual Rate).
