About Your Work
As a Senior Compensation Analyst at Altais, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and administering our competitive compensation packages and rewards programs. This role carries enterprise-wide responsibility, with a particular emphasis on physician and advanced practice professional compensation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design competitive compensation packages and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top-tier talent while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and industry benchmarks.
You will focus on:
- Implement comprehensive compensation and Total Rewards strategies that align with Altais’ organizational goals and market competitiveness.
- Administer physician and advanced practice professionals' compensation programs, including base salary structures, incentive/bonus plans, and benefits programs.
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends, recommending and implementing necessary adjustments to maintain compliance and competitiveness in compensation and total rewards.
- Advise on best practices and propose improvements to support business objectives and enhance the employee experience.
- Conduct regular market analyses and benchmarking studies to ensure the competitiveness and fairness of compensation and benefits programs within the healthcare industry.
- Develop and deliver transparent communication and education initiatives regarding compensation and incentive programs, fostering understanding among medical staff.
- Streamline, consolidate, and automate compensation and benefits processes, partnering with vendors as necessary.
- Administer employee welfare and retirement benefits processes, ensuring accurate enrollment, adherence to procedures, and compliance with regulations.
- Conduct job evaluation analysis to determine appropriate salary grades, job levels, and FLSA status for new and reclassified positions.
- Participate in multiple compensation surveys, maintain job architecture in the HRIS, and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with peers to facilitate the performance management process, including merit cycle communication, promotions, and incentive planning.
- Track and calculate accruals for incentives and benefits, working closely with Finance.
- Complete audits, generate reports, and reconcile records to ensure benefits data integrity and accuracy.
The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in compensation, total rewards strategy and programs, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting, with a strong focus on physician and advanced practice professional compensation.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
- Extensive experience in compensation principles, incentive plan design, healthcare regulations, and industry benchmarks.
- Proven expertise in building and adjusting salary structures, conducting market analyses, and participating in compensation surveys.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, conduct market analyses, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ADP and deep knowledge of California labor laws is highly preferred.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and geographic location. This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.

Physical Requirements:
Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork – Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of workday.
