The
Senior Director, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive diversity, inclusion and belonging strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and values. This role will lead efforts to create a thriving set of Communities of Belonging (CoBs, or Employee Resource Groups), foster a culture of continuous learning and inclusion, and drive initiatives that promote diversity and equity across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute a global diversity, inclusion and belonging strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate diversity and inclusion principles into business strategies, policies and practices.
- Monitor and report on progress towards diversity and inclusion goals, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
Communities of Belonging:
- Support a thriving set of CoBs, providing guidance, resources and mentorship to CoB leaders.
- Foster a sense of community and belonging within CoBs, ensuring they are inclusive and representative of diverse employee perspectives.
- Facilitate cross-CoB collaboration and initiatives that promote intersectionality and allyship.
Culture of Learning and Inclusion:
- Design and implement training programs, workshops and initiatives that promote cultural competency, unconscious bias awareness and inclusive leadership.
- Partner with People and Learning & Development teams to embed diversity and inclusion principles into onboarding, performance management and leadership development programs.
- Create opportunities for continuous learning and dialogue on diversity and inclusion topics through events, speaker series and internal communications.
Policy and Advocacy:
- Advocate for policies and practices that promote diversity, equity and inclusion within the organization.
- Collaborate with external partners, industry groups, and community organizations to stay informed on best practices and emerging trends in diversity and inclusion.
- Lead efforts to ensure compliance with diversity and inclusion-related regulations and standards.
Philanthropy and Community Engagement:
- Partner with the company’s Social Impact team to align diversity and inclusion initiatives with philanthropic efforts.
- Support community outreach and engagement programs that promote diversity and inclusion in the tech industry and beyond.
Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years experience in Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, Business, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, Business, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or related field AND 10+ years experience in Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, Business, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or related field OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience managing large-scale or complex projects/programs.
- Experience developing and implementing diversity and inclusion strategies within a global technology company.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of people management experience.
- Strong understanding of diversity and inclusion principles, best practices and legal requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, listening and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
- Strong execution and project management capabilities.
- Ability to analyse data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Passion for fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace culture.
- Proven ability to collaborate with all levels of leadership to influence buy-in and adoption of solutions that shape and drive cultural change across the entire ecosystem.
- Experience designing and implementing trainings, programs, workshops and initiatives focused on cultural competency, unconscious bias awareness and inclusive leadership skills.
Compensation Range: The base salary range for this job is USD $122,500.00 – USD $325,000.00 /Yr.
