Kemet Health is looking to partner with a dedicated Human Resources & Compliance professional committed to improving treatment accessibility and affordability for underserved populations by ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and fostering a positive work environment.
We are an outpatient multi-specialty healthcare organization operating eleven virtual and physical outpatient clinics nationwide and are expanding access to care to other states. We focus on providing relationship-based healthcare services. We operate a multi-lingual practice, with new services being added monthly, and accept multiple insurance plans. We are looking for a Part-Time Remote HR & Compliance Specialist to help manage our human resources operations and ensure compliance with operational and clinical regulations. This position has the potential to grow in financial and professional scope, with a path to take on a leadership role within the organization. The role starts with a flexible time commitment that can be customized to you.
Location: Virtual (fully remote)
The HR & Compliance Specialist works with the management team to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, manage HR operations, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.
- Manage HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and payroll support.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Provide support to clinical staff on HR compliance matters, including training on regulatory changes.
- Conduct regular audits of HR practices to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Serve as a resource for management on employee relations and compliance issues.
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development of a positive work environment that aligns with the organization’s mission and values.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Required)
- 3+ years of experience in HR and/or compliance, with specific experience in healthcare (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) and Compliance (e.g., CHC)
- Experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting with a focus on HR and compliance
- Familiarity with telehealth and remote work environments
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other relevant laws
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and compliance management software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
