Position Overview: The Diversity, Inclusion and Learning (DIL) group within the Human Resources department at NYCEDC guides the development and implementation of a comprehensive plan focused on embedding effective diversity, inclusion, and learning practices for the organization. The Coordinator will support the DIL function and administration of programs that build diversity, inclusion, and learning at NYCEDC.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and help implement Diversity, Inclusion, and Learning Programs for the organization
- Conduct research on vendors and best practices in the DIL space to support evaluation and benchmarking initiatives
- Assist in compiling data where needed with all compliance reporting
- Assist in gathering diversity related data and developing bi-annual reports
- Support the design and creation of training and workshop materials
- Coordinate necessary communications to support program implementation
- Assist the Employee Resource Group program and associated events
- Coordinate and manage various DIL events throughout the year
- Work as a liaison with the DIL team to facilitate trainings and other DIL programs
- Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ year/s of experience in the Diversity, Inclusion or Learning space preferred
- Knowledge of organizational inclusion and learning
- Knowledge of project coordination and management
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills; experience tracking data, reporting, and providing metrics
- Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple projects for the DIL team
- Able to implement DIL programs from conception to completion
- New York City residency is required within 180 days of hire
Salary Range
$53,000—$55,000 USD
