we are seeking a VP, Total Rewards & People Analytics to lead a team responsible for the design and implementation of strategies in compensation, benefits, wellness, recognition, HR system, people analytics and payroll. This position is part of the People and Culture leadership team and will report directly to the SVP, People, Culture, and Diversity with geographic flexibility to work remotely offered by Tanger’s hub-and-spoke approach to a modern Teams-driven workplace.

How you will contribute to what we do:
Total Rewards
- Lead the creation of a total rewards philosophy and strategy that enables Tanger to attract and retain talent needed to deliver the business goals and enrich our culture of purpose, performance, and belonging.
- Design, implement and maintain competitive compensation programs, including base pay, short and long-term incentives, equity incentives, and executive compensation.
- Manage the administration and enhancement of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, safety, and leaves of absence.
- Manage payroll administration to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, audit and controls requirements, maintenance of payroll records, and effective resolution of complex payroll matters.
- Oversee company recognition programs.
- Use data analytics and benchmarking to make recommendations and decisions regarding the total rewards landscape to remain competitive.
- Lead the annual compensation review, annual benefits review, and open enrollment processes.
- Oversee pay equity and pay gap analysis and develop plans to create equitable and inclusive programs.
People Analytics and Operations
- Establish and optimize people analytics and HR technologies to support strategic decision-making across the organization and create opportunities for automation, scalability, and improvements in user experience.
- Create dashboards to report and organize data in a manner that will help both HR and the business make timely operating decisions.
- Oversee HCM platform (UKG Pro), develop the HRIS roadmap, and manage launch of new modules and integrations.
- Collaborate with IT to leverage technology for data collection, ensuring accurate and comprehensive workforce data.
- Oversee the integration of people analytics across the employee life cycle, including recruitment, performance management, succession planning, learning & development and employee engagement.
Other
- Prepare and present analyses, materials and recommendations to senior leadership as needed and as appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with executive compensation advisory group to prepare materials for the Compensation and Human Capital Committee and Board.
- Interface with key external 3rd party vendors (i.e. health providers, insurance carriers, HRIS platform partners etc.) to ensure programs are appropriately administered and work with relevant stakeholders to execute periodic RFPs.
- Work closely with Finance leaders to ensure effective decision-making for all compensation and benefits offerings and reconciliation of payroll transactions.
- Partner with recruitment teams to develop compelling total rewards packages that attract top talent, and with HR to create retention strategies.
- Partner with Internal Communications to lead communication strategies to educate employees about the value of Tanger’s various offerings and programs.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local legislation including safety and health programs and maintain plan documents.
- Lead Total Rewards & Analytics team; establish and manage priorities to drive performance and engagement; coach individuals on the team to develop their skills and capabilities.
About You:
- You have BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work or military experience along with twelve plus (12+) years of human resources leadership experience in total rewards, people analytics, and HRIS/Operations.
- You have experience managing a workforce in multiple state locations.
- You are experienced with mergers and acquisitions.
- Your excellent consultative skills and ability to develop persuasive positions grounded in data influences and drives positive change.
- You have strong data management, analytics, and visualization skills along with strong business and financial acumen.
- You can effectively gain the trust of multiple stakeholders, while able to identify opportunities that add value to the company.
- You are highly proficient in your communications skills; strong ability to provide verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively through various formats.
- You have high emotional intelligence with an ability to effectively manage conflict.
- You are an excellent people manager and developer skills.
- You can demonstrate excellent judgement, maintain confidentiality, and act with personal and professional integrity.
- You can execute strategically and tactically across the organization.
- You are self-motivated with sense of urgency.
- You are comfortable in both a strategic role, and the ability to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.

Hiring Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Tanger's total compensation package for employees.
Target Base Range:$185,000-$220,000 per year
