Overview:
The Human Resources Onboarding Coordinator is a key point of contact for all new hires. The Onboarding Coordinator supports new employees in completing onboarding paperwork, coordinates with the training team to enroll new hires in New Employee Orientation, and creates a warm and engaging relationship between new hires and the Human Resources department. This includes educating new employees about Seneca's benefit options, informing them of potential perks of working at Seneca, and establishing an open channel of communication for all HR-related needs. The Onboarding Coordinator also maintains employee files, updates the compliance database, and provides exceptional customer service to agency employees, applicants, and external parties.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update HR employee files and databases.
- Support HR projects including Professional Development scholarships, open enrollment, Joint Commission, etc.
- Obtain Live Scan certification and training to fingerprint employees as needed.
- Conduct new employee orientation and paperwork requirements.
- Request and maintain educational degree transcripts.
- Maintain Pull Notice Program and generate motor vehicle reports for all employees.
- Generate and monitor Medi-Cal fraud reports through the Office of the Inspector General and the California Medicare/Medi-Cal fraud websites.
- Complete any request for information from current or terminated employees.
- Respond and complete employee requests for information or documentation.
- Assist with additional human resources functions as needed, including but not limited to completing references, entering resumes, conducting phone screenings, etc.
- Coordinate independent contractor arrangements, including managing paperwork, drafting agreements, and handling correspondence.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED
- Experience/education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of applicable work experience OR
- Associate's degree or equivalent + 2 years of applicable work experience
- High school diploma/GED + 3 years of applicable work experience.
- Applicable work experience includes any paid or unpaid experience in an administrative capacity requiring customer service, data entry, ability to prioritize multiple projects within strict deadlines, and/or coordination with multiple departments.
- At least one year of administrative support experience beyond the minimum requirement.
- At least 21 years of age.
- TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy.
- Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or an HR-approved medical/religious exemption.
SKILLS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Sold computer skills and the ability to learn new technology platforms quickly.
Schedule:
- Full time, Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm.
- Hybrid work schedule.
- 2 days a week at Seneca Golf Links Campus in Oakland, CA.

- Starting at $30.77 - $33.27 per hour.
- Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
