Overview:
The Talent Advisor plays a pivotal role within the Human Resources team, blending strategic guidance on talent acquisition, workforce planning, and employee experience with hands-on recruiting responsibilities. This multifaceted role involves collaborating with hiring managers and senior leaders to identify talent needs, develop recruitment strategies, and enhance the overall employee experience. By combining high-level sourcing methods and leveraging all available tools and resources, the Talent Advisor plays a critical role in attracting, retaining, and developing top talent to support the organization’s growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the recruitment and selection efforts across District operations including posting positions, developing advertising/marketing strategies for open positions, leading HR social media recruiting efforts, developing interview questionnaires, screening applicants, participating in interviews, scheduling interviews and job offers.
- Represents the Human Resources Department and the Health Care District of Palm Beach County in a positive customer-focused manner while maintaining and providing timely follow-up/status of requests.
- Returns phone calls/electronic messages promptly, and provides world-class customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Responsible for continuous improvement and evaluation of policies and procedures related to recruitment, selection, and onboarding to ensure practices facilitate the placement of high-quality candidates and a superior candidate experience.
- Generates pay recommendations for new hires, at times reviews recommendations with Talent Acquisition Operations Manager and Lead, Talent Acquisition Specialist to ensure consistent pay practices within District business units and departments.
- Performs 30-day and 90-day strategy evaluations with hiring managers on open requisitions.
- Compiles and shares weekly vacancy reports on posted positions with hiring managers and Talent Acquisitions Operations Manager.
- Update and make notes on all candidates and requisitions appropriately in the ATS.
- Give personalized 1:1 sessions to explore the skills, strengths, and career goals of current employees and candidates.
- Prints various letters, records, reports, and related documentation; makes copies of such where applicable; distributes to appropriate entities.
- Identifies recruitment issues and assists in developing strategies to address them prior to the issue becoming critical.
- Works collaboratively with HR Specialists with initial onboarding of new and current employees.
- Research and develop new talent pipelines and establish relationships with colleges and universities.
- Attend and coordinate virtual and/or in-person job fairs, classroom visits, mock interviews, and other recruitment sessions.
- As requested, manages, coordinates, organizes, and participates in Human Resource Department projects, workflows, and procedures.
- The incumbent helps identify key performance factors, develop sourcing pools and establishes interviewing criteria, and actively researches new sourcing ideas and methods to build creative sourcing strategies.
- Consult with the HR Managers to educate, interpret and explain the meanings of recruitment policies, procedures, and systems.
- Work collaboratively and mentor other non-senior members of the team.
- Sets high recruitment standards, and maintains operational excellence and compliance.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast staffing needs based on business objectives and growth plans.
- Occasionally have to work on entry-level and hard-to-fill positions concurrently.
- Emergency duty may be required of the incumbent including working in Red Cross shelters or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or disasters, man-made or natural.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, human resources, communication, psychology, or a related field required. HR may substitute directly related corporate recruitment experience for the required education on a 1:1 basis.
Experience:
One (1) to four (4) years of previous professional experience working in recruitment, human resources, or other related fields. Healthcare recruitment is preferred.
Certification:
CHCR (Certified Health Care Recruiter) and/or RACR (Recruiter Academy Certified Recruiter) are preferred.
Licensure:
Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
