Purpose:The Human Resources Generalist will work on various human resources service projects for the Victory Employer Services, LLC. The Victory Employer Services serves clients who are primarily small and medium size businesses in the Greater Waco Area. The Human Resources Generalist will assist in writing and auditing job descriptions, employee handbooks, and performance evaluation instruments. The Human Resources Generalist will also assist with posting positions in various job recruiting platforms, assist with interviewing qualified candidates, hiring, onboarding, employee development, performance management and discipline management.
Education and Training:
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management (preferred)
- HR Certification (preferred)
- Must be current on HR issues through participation in ongoing professional development, seminars, trainings, media, text and research.
Experience:
- Previous HR experience in understanding employment law, human resources policies, recruiting, and employee relations preferred.

- Ability to read, speak and write clearly in English.
- Must have complete knowledge of company policies and programs and ensure company policies are followed by all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge and proficiency in employment law.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Creates, audits, and edits job descriptions for company and company’s clients.
- Creates, audits, and edits employee handbooks and employee training material for company and company clients.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
