SourceAmerica is searching for a Manager, Learning Academy and Instructional Design to join its team. The position requires a manager-level professional who will assist SourceAmerica in accomplishing its mission by managing its learning academy and a team of instructional designers. SourceAmerica supports a network of over 400 nonprofit agencies (NPAs) across the United States under the AbilityOne Program. These NPAs perform service and product contracts mainly for federal government agencies and help employ over 36,000 people with disabilities nationally.
Your Impact ...
As a Manager, Learning Academy and Instructional Design your work functions will include but are not limited to the following. A full position description will be given to candidates at the time of the interview.
- The Manager directs the team, ensuring work quality and delivery schedules meet organizational requirements. This team creates training content for SourceAmerica’s internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensures Instructional Design and Academy resources are responsive to the diverse needs of 400+ SourceAmerica staff, 350+ nonprofit agency service providers, and 30,000+ people with disabilities.
- The Manager position serves as the primary administrator for the SourceAmerica Academy, a Learning Management System (LMS) used by internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensures the LMS content meets legal requirements and the learning needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop strong partnerships with e-learning vendors and ensure outsourced content is integrated with the LMS.
- Other responsibilities will be assigned as organizational needs arise.
Salary Range
The salary for this position falls in a range between $100,000 - $125,000 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.
What You Must Have ...
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution instead of applicable skills training. SourceAmerica recognizes 1.5 years of experience = 1 year of college, should the candidate not meet the educational requirement.
- 7 years relevant work experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional design.
- 2+ years of direct personnel management of instructional design, curriculum design, or similar skill sets.
- Hands-on experience developing training programs, curricula for various customer groups, and knowledge of contemporary adult learning practices.
- Experience participating or leading cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to deliver high-level customer service and professional written or verbal communications.
- Proficient user experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), or similar systems. SourceAmerica uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 as its business application system for accounting, customer relationship, and other business processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree or MBA in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years management experience with curriculum development, including content that is accessibility for persons with disabilities.
Work Environment
Our organization offers both a hybrid work model—where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek—as well as a fully remote work model, depending on the job requirements and one’s proximity to one of our offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or the Washington, DC-area.
