Job Summary
The Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst will maintain the integrity and reliability of the organization’s HRIS, ensuring applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the Human Resources department. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement and enhancement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports other technical projects as assigned and other systems supported by the HRIS team.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborates with HR staff and organizational leadership to determine the short-term and long-term information department and system objectives; develops a plan to modify or replace HRIS applications, modules, and systems to meet those objectives.
- Assesses current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.
- Prepares reports and presents findings and recommendations to the HRIS Director and others as needed.
- Identifies, recommends, and programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
- Collaborates with other analysts and the HRIS team to plan, modify, and customize the HRIS and to test new applications and features.
- Prepares training materials, guides, and related documentation.
- Provides user training and hands-on support.
- Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of an HCM solution such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, Workday.
