Job Description:
- This position is responsible for handling all aspects of the time and attendance processes, include administering time and troubleshooting calculation errors in support of payroll processing activities, reconciling between the payroll and time system and ensuring adherence to defined payroll policies and applicable laws.
- This includes understanding and analyzing company policies, legislative guidance and business requirements for time and attendance impacts and proactively addressing gaps (partnering with leadership as appropriate).
- The incumbent is detail oriented and takes a proactive approach to ensure delivery of quality customer service and analyzes data to identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence with Client policies, as well as all US Federal, State and Local regulatory compliance requirements as it relates to time and attendance activities
Provide analysis and support in resolving complex time issues including proactively administering data quality audits to reduce the risk of payroll issues/errors
- Monitoring and trend analysis of time data to provide support to the businesses in work force planning and management, to ensure delivery of quality customer service and to identify and implement continuous process improvement opportunities
- Stay current on internal & external policies, legal & legislative/ regulatory agencies impacting time/attendance activities and analyze pay and details on employee statements to ensure compliance
- Analyze time & attendance data to review/respond on questions from employees, managers, Legal, business partners and external inquiries/audits
- Partner with Separations Analyst, HR Business Partners and Legal in preparing for time/attendance considerations on involuntary separation activities, including Reduction in Force, site closures, and/or job changes.
- Identify, provide recommendations and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance delivery of time & attendance services to Client employees.
- Interpret policy, articulate requirements to IT and support testing
- Establish and maintain strong partnership and communication with HR Business Partners, Legal, and other HR direct process teams while supporting HR initiatives.
- Monitor employee time/attendance records for inconsistencies and provide guidance for correction process to appropriate teams.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree
- 1-3 yearss overall HR Payroll, Finance and/or accounting experience or equivalent work experience preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of employment law and regulatory guidelines related to labor practices and time/attendance activities
- Demonstrate initiative to work independently, accurately meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with highly sensitive information and adhere to data privacy and internal compliance requirements.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other functions
- Flexibility to work extended hours as necessary
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $31.00 - $33.00 per hour
