COMPENSATION: $69,908 to $82,000 per year DOE

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Latino Network seeks a bilingual, mission driven and community service mindset individual with bi-cultural proficiency to serve as a central point of contact for employees and management of HR-related matters and ensure the organization operates in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The HR Generalist administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
- Lead and support HR projects, including but not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding, training and development, employee engagement, and HRIS implementation.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, allocate resources, and monitor project progress.
- Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates and addressing any issues or roadblocks.
- Evaluates new and existing HR related processes for effectiveness using tools such as surveys, focus groups, participant feedback and consulting with partner agencies.
HR Operations:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Manage employee records, ensuring compliance with legal and agency standards.
- Support the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screenings, and interview coordination as needed.
- Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related topics.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and HR programs.
- Works in partnership with our HR consulting partner to produce wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rates.
- Maintains regular interaction, as well as attendance at Agency and community events and meetings in an effort to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, partners, and leaders.
- Attends program team meetings as needed to assist with and ensure awareness and alignment with Agency HR policies and practices in connection with the overall mission and values of the organization.
Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through engagement initiatives and employee support.
- Serves as a secondary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances and works with the Human Resource Manager on employee relations as needed.
- Assist in conflict resolution and guide on performance management issues as needed.
- Analyzes exit interview feedback to improve employee retention strategies.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge, supporting professional development and career growth.
- Support the implementation of learning and development initiatives.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
- Lead coordination.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain and update HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate HR reports and analyze data to inform decision-making.
- Provide metrics and insights on HR projects and initiatives.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
General duties:
- Maintains reliable and regular attendance.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Respectfully takes direction from the Director of Human Resources and Benefits.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources and Benefits.
Requirements:
- Five to seven years of related HR Generalist experience and/or administration experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.
- Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong HR Generalist experience across areas such as performance management, onboarding and recruiting, compliance, employee relations, investigations, workers compensation.
- Bicultural proficiency preferred: knowledge of Latinx culturally based world view, adaptive reasoning, and problem-solving practices of Latinx individuals, families, and community.
- Bilingual ability preferred: ability to write and communicate in Spanish and English including public speaking and presentations.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, time management & communication skills
- Understanding of HR policies, procedures and knowledge of Federal and State regulations relating to HR practices.
- Experience with HRIS and/or Applicant tracking/ Payroll systems and openness to training to further develop management and oversight of agency systems (Paylocity).
- Professionally responsive, dependable and maintains excellent follow through with a customer service focus/ demeanor.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptive to successfully achieve the functions of the position as described in the job responsibilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint. Adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicating by email, using virtual meeting and scheduling software.

This position will work from home and onsite as needed depending on the project or coverage needed. The employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to perform minimal heavy lifting and walking during peak events and prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
