The primary responsibility the Learning & Development Lead is to assess, develop and implement training programs across the organization to allow us to increase the skills and knowledge of our workforce. This role utilizes adult learning theories and multiple methodologies in order to reach and scale our offerings to our distributed locations. Career progression and certification levels within our stores are vital to our service delivery and requires close collaboration with external partners such as TIA, ASE etc.
Responsibilities:
- Assess organizational or individual training needs and devise strategies and program to address with blended programs including eLearning, classroom, job aids, video and collaboration tool curriculum development
- Create training materials for various purposes, including onboarding, tier, sales, and leadership programs
- Deliver training programs online or in person using different learning methodologies
- Procure and implement necessary equipment and technology for blended learning strategies
- Lead group discussions and facilitate collaboration
- Evaluate effectiveness of the program and adjust as needed
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and incorporate their expertise into appropriate content
- Become in-house expert on learning management system and ensure optimization of scheduling, tracking, reporting as well as performing other administrative tasks
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures for continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of the learning and development programs and platforms.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design, learning and development strategies and eLearning curriculum development
- Solution and growth mindset with ability to foster relationships necessary to build comprehensive programs from launch to scale
- Excellent people skills and the ability to discern performance drivers and motivators
- Excellent communication skills and must work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
- Excellent organization skills and ability to project manage and consistently meet deadlines
- A bachelor's degree and four to eight years of learning and development experience
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to manage workload independently
- Demonstrated knowledge of content development tools and technologies skills
- Ability to travel between sites as necessary
