The Benefits Partner - Financial and Well-being position adds value to Velera through the analysis, administration, and communication of all employee Financial and wellness programs. The Benefits Partner-Financial and Well-Being will support 401(k) retirement plans, nonqualified deferred compensation plans, paid time off plans, leaves, wellness programs, executive benefits, and tuition reimbursement, and consult employees on benefits help tickets.
Role Responsibilities
- Perform program administration for all employee health and welfare benefit plans and retirement plans at Velera including the 401(k) and Deferred Compensation programs.
- Process enrollments, changes, and terminations for benefit programs using electronic systems and manual processes.
- Maintain employee financial and wellness information in the HRIS system to ensure accurate data records are collected and maintained. Perform biweekly data audits to review for errors to ensure accurate data is collected for financial benefits.
- Assists the Financial and Wellbeing Manager and others on the Annual Benefit Renewal and Enrollment process with 401(k), deferred compensation and wellness programs, and general support of the benefits teams annual enrollment.
- Support benefit compliance items including 5500 process and filing, plan document administration, and policies.
- Produce benefit and well-being reports for management on a regular basis, utilizing Excel, Word, and other tools.
- Assist employees with a wide variety of escalated benefits inquiries; Consults with internal and external parties as necessary to devise a solution to resolve the issues.
- Oversee the administrative processes for Tuition and Executive Wellness reimbursements to ensure they are handled in an efficient, timely manner.
- May create education or communications materials and present to small groups on financial, wellness, and deferred compensation enrollment.
- Support annual processes and partnerships with vendors and brokers.
- Will maintain and update financial and well-being-related information and policies on the company intranet and the external benefit site.
- Keep abreast of financial, PTO, leave, and well-being programs and practices; by staying current with changes through training and professional business periodicals and journals as well as technical procedures and governmental regulations.
- Assist the Benefits and Wellbeing Team in managing a variety of benefit, wellbeing, and leave of absence programs and policies as requested including wellbeing program administration.
- Assists Finance with the benefits and payroll reconciliation in the Finance general ledger as needed and initiated by Finance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Five (5) years experience in benefits or seven (7) years of total HR experience required.
- Three (3) years experience in 401(k) retirement plan administration, leaves, and wellness programs required.
- Workday experience preferred.

- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet computer software applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of materials handled
Pay Equity
Velera Is Committed To Pay Equity And a Competitive Benefits Package. The Hiring Amount For This Position Based On Relevant Experience And Internal Equity; The Pay Range Is:
$56,600.00
to
$75,000.00
- Note: The amount shown is based on full time annual salary and would be prorated based on role.
In addition this position is eligible for an incentive plan, based on performance.
