We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Human Resources Benefits Coordinator to join our client's team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will support the Benefits Manager by working closely with benefits providers, negotiating plans, managing open enrollment and benefits terminations, administering COBRA, ensuring accurate payroll deductions related to benefits, facilitating leave management, and overseeing all benefits compliance measures. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, strong knowledge of benefits and leave administration, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Description:
- Benefits Administration: Coordinate with benefits providers to manage employee benefits plans, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Assist in negotiating plan terms and costs.
- Open Enrollment: Lead the annual open enrollment process, including the preparation of materials, conducting informational sessions, and assisting employees with their selections.
- Benefits Terminations: Handle the termination of benefits for departing employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- COBRA Management: Administer COBRA, including notifications, tracking, and communication with COBRA participants.
- Payroll Deductions: Ensure accurate and timely payroll deductions related to employee benefits. Collaborate with the payroll department to resolve any discrepancies.
- Leave Management: Facilitate the management of employee leaves, including FMLA, short-term disability, long-term disability, and other leave types. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Compliance Oversight: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits. Ensure company compliance with all benefits-related legal requirements.
- Employee Support: Serve as a resource for employees, providing information and assistance regarding their benefits and leave options. Respond to employee inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Benefits Communication: Develop and distribute clear and concise communication materials regarding benefits programs and updates.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee benefits records. Generate reports and analyze data to support decision-making and improve benefits programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits coordination or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of benefits and leave administration.
- Familiarity with COBRA, FMLA, and other relevant regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and benefits management software.
