Job Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will perform a variety of recruiting tasks within an assigned territory, candidate skill set, or specialization supporting the company's overall mission of providing skilled Individuals and quality service to our customers. The Talent Acquisition Specialist must communicate effectively with other team members, business consultants, and applicants and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be residing in Baltimore, Washington DC metro area; and Philadelphia metro area. The role requires to travel 25% or quarterly for job fairs.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform queries and searches in Applicant Tracking database for qualified candidates.
- Be accountable for keeping the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) accurately updated at all times.
- Evaluate information provided on resumes and/or application forms.
- Screen prospective hires and determine the suitability of the applicants for placement.
- Interview and refer applicants to professional positions in education, behavioral health, and social services.
- Establish recruiting requirements by studying client or organization plans and objectives.
- Meet with hiring managers to discuss needs as appropriate.
- Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and featured benefits; making presentations.
- Maintain rapport with applicants.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees to ensure retention.
- Determine applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and job qualification.
- Attract applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting industry groups, using social media, newsgroups, and job sites.
- Determines applicants qualified by interviewing; analyzing responses, verifying references; and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers, interview applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
- Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.
- Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation and compliance as it pertains to the organization and position requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
LOCATION:
This role is a hybrid position, with the flexibility to work from home or an office but will require occasional travel to meet with team members and senior leadership.
The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with a combination of remote work and in-person engagement and should have the ability to balance both effectively.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- One year of experience in recruitment preferred.
- One year of experience with computers including in-depth internet knowledge
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
