Human Resource Manager
Location: Orlando, FL
Compensation: $70-$80K
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resource Manager to join our team that is ready to take ownership of the role and position within the company. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create immediate impact through the revitalization and modernization our HR program. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for driving positive change and improving organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement employee benefits programs, working closely with our benefits consultant
- Rewrite and update the employee handbook to reflect current best practices
- Refresh and modernize HR policies to align with company goals and industry standards
- Manage the full spectrum of HR functions as the sole member of the HR department
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute HR strategies
- Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding and orientation
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Implement and maintain HRIS systems
- Develop and manage employee engagement initiatives
- Handle employee relations issues and conduct investigations when necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (non-negotiable)
- 5+ years of experience in HR management roles
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office products and HRIS systems
- PHR certification preferred (company will cover job-related education)
- Comfortable interacting with executive leadership
Work Environment:
- Primarily in-person role with the possibility of up to 2 days remote work per week
- Flexible hours within the 7am-7pm window of operations
- Reports directly to the Controller
