Job Description:
Location: This position is remote friendly provided that the candidate resides in Santa Fe, NM; Denver, CO; Las Vegas, NV; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA.
Compensation: $65k-$85k and is based upon location and experience.

Meow Wolf’s HRIS Administrator serves as the primary point of contact and uber Subject Matter Expert for our human capital management system; ultimately responsible for the proper and effective operations of our HR software. We are a fast- moving, high-growth B Corporation intent on improving the world for good through immersive art experiences. You will join a professional, knowledgeable, and supportive HR team in ensuring our staff are empowered and engaged. Above all else we seek candidates who are curious, analytical and sticklers for perfection when it comes to HRIS software configuration, policies, and practice.
You will be integral in optimizing user experience in Workday.
How you will do it...
- Lead HRIS system design, configuration, business process, security changes, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Participate in the planning, testing and rollout of operational changes and large-scale cyclical events (OE, Performance Management, Total Rewards, ACA filings etc).
- Conduct HRIS trainings and create documentation, guidelines and help material for all internal users.
- Provide guidance and support to HR and IT teams on various tenets, modules, and processes.
- Keep abreast of HRIS releases, leading impact analysis, testing, and distribution of communications to notify affected employees.
- Work with data engineers and analysts to establish HR data model and reporting channels.
- Develop and monitor dashboards, metrics and automated data feeds and reporting.
- Develop data integrity reports and ensure that data is subject to strict confidentiality controls including knowledge of GDPR and staff PII.
- Build and maintain knowledge of HRIS security roles and architecture.
- Gather, build, and test requirements for multiple modules within our robust HRIS software.
- Support creation of advanced reports and dashboards based on business needs.
- Responsible for system upgrades and modifications including identifying requirements, configuration, testing and implementation.
- Provide support and collaborates with IT on all HR related integrations including the management of current integrations as well as the development and implementation of future integrations.
- Ensure system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
- Manage permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for users.
- Provide security administration and technical support for users across all HRIS modules.
- Serve as lead representative and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
To be successful in this role...
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HRIS administrator
- Experience with all of the HRIS modules including HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Absences, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Prism, Time Tracking, etc.
- Advanced experience with the building and maintenance of calculated fields is strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of labor legislation and data protection regulations.
- Experience in analyzing HRIS performance metrics and improving processes.
- Experience in performing diagnostic tests and audits, as well as documenting processes.
- Ability to keep information confidential, particularly PII.
It would be nice to have...
- A Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, HR management, or similar field.
- Ability to provide, in user-friendly terms, sound ideas and solutions to end users on HR systems-related questions, tasks, projects and reports
- Demonstrates an understanding of business objectives both internally and externally which impact the company’s ability to achieve its objectives.
- Strong understanding of data ETL pipelines.
- Experience developing reporting or self-service tooling for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of using operations data analysis to identify opportunities, pain points, courses of action, and the underlying causes behind issues.
- Experience communicating results of analyses to non-technical stakeholders who are the users of systems involving metrics, pipelines, and dashboards.
- Experience in producing business intelligence for operations teams, using outputs of pipelines, dashboards, and other infrastructure.
- Experience in one of more of the following programming languages: Python, PHP or Haskell.
- Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI / Tableau).
- Experience operating strategic projects with cross-functional partners.
Work Environment & physical demands...
- This position is remote friendly and if based in a current market, operates in a professional industrial and office environment. This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday -
- -occasionally requiring flexibility to work during weekends based on business needs.
- No travel is required for this position.
