The Payroll and Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing and payroll processing.

Role & Responsibilities
As the Billing and Payroll Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare, process, audit and submit payroll for all external employees on a weekly basis.
- Validate payroll inputs, bonus payments, additional pay, discounts, and deductions as well as assist team members with questions and resolve discrepancies.
- Verify all approvals for increases and promotions are received timely.
- Review, verify and finalize employee new hire paperwork in HRIS system.
- Process employee terminations in HRIS system and ensure final pay processed accurately.
- Ongoing personnel/payroll updates in HRIS
- Assisting with the billing of all agency clients including: MCO, insurance, VA and private pay
- Posting payments and resolving outstanding A/R issues
- Focus on the collection of aged receivables and resolve the root causes delaying payment adhering to company procedures.
- Running billing and A/R reports for management team review
- Calling on past due invoices and updating Finance Director accordingly
- Maintaining customer and A/R files
- Assisting in quarterly audits as necessary
- If applicable, submits secondary billing in a timely manner with appropriate supporting documentation per payer specific guidelines to insure expected revenue is allowed.
- Conducts billing utilizing most efficient resources to secure timely payment of open claims or invoices; electronic solutions should be given priority.
- Manages the Ready to Bill queue on a daily basis; performs QA to insure accurate and timely creation of new claims and generic invoices; insures submitted claims meet payer guidelines.
- Ensures daily accomplishments work towards company goals for cash collections and A/R over 90 days, Ready to Bill under 14 days, weekly and month-end close processes, and other departmental goals as outlined.
- Other duties assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be located in Pennsylvania
- Must have experience in HHAX
- Must have 3 years of experience
