General Job Summary
The HR Generalist – Talent assists the Talent Management Officer and Chief HR Officer with functions related to staffing and employee relations. This position will also serve as a HR Generalist by assisting employees and managers in all areas of the Human Resources Department.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Assist Talent Management Officer in various stages of the recruitment process:
- Post open positions internally when appropriate.
- Post open positions externally on appropriate internet sites to comply with Affirmative Action Plan goals.
- Search internet for resumes to match open position criteria.
- Coordinate with web developer to post open positions on company and subsidiary web sites.
- Review applicants to identify those candidates that meet the open position’s minimum qualifications.
- Conduct prescreen interviews.
- Present most desirable candidates to Talent Management Officer or hiring manager.
- Arrange interview times with hiring manager and candidate(s).
- Perform reference and background checks for potential employees as needed.
- Communicate rejection notices to applicant.
- Implementation of retention plans and initiatives.
- Prepare and send adverse action letter related to credit history.
- Act as backup to Talent Management Officer as NMLS Administrator.
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees to recruit the best talent to meet current needs and to develop a pool of candidates in advance of need.
- Lead in the development of the annual FTE budget.
- Lead on the administration of University Bank’s service award program.
- Lead on filing the EEO-1 and VET-4212 report annually.
- Lead in creating and presenting the annual incentive report to the TMO.
- Lead on tracking and ensuring FDIC Lockouts are taken as required.
- Lead in the gathering and analysis of Affirmative Action Plan data and the creation of the annual Affirmative Action Plan.
- Create and present the monthly and annual Staffing Reports and create monthly staffing presentations related to turnover and staffing changes to the TMO.
- Assist in the development and/or editing of position job descriptions.
- Coach Managers and employees in areas of work habit and skill development.
- Act as HR Generalist in assisting managers and employees with common and complicated HR questions.
- Develop rapport with employees and assist in coaching them in career development and behavior modification.
- Lead on completion of unemployment documents.
- Assist in audit requests by pulling and creating reports.
- Lead on maintaining and updating Org Charts, Officer Lists and Contact Lists.
- Lead in the documentation of the E-Verification process.
- Assist Talent Mgmt. Officer and Chief HR Officer in creation and update to salary ranges.
- Create reports in HRIS.
- Respond to employee questions via HR email inbox.
- Assist in the administration of the HR page on the corporate intranet as needed.
Other Job Functions

Requirements:
Education, Training and Work Experience
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
- At least 3 years of Human Resources experience required.
- 3+ years’ experience of Employee relations highly preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in Financial Services recruiting highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working Environment
Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at management’s sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Requires travel to other office locations by vehicle and/or commercial flights.
- Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk).
- Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard).

The salary range for this role takes into consideration a wide range of factors including but not limited to the duties of the role, experience, location, and certificates and/or education. The target salary range for this position is between $55,000 and $75,000 per year.
