DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Senior HR and Training Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our growing restaurant business. As a key member of the Mamahuhu leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, training, and development within our restaurants. Your mission will be to cultivate a work environment where every team member thrives, while continuing to help recruit, onboard, and train the future of Mamahuhu employees across our growing business locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement robust and scalable training programs and systems tailored to the unique needs of our restaurant operations. This includes designing training materials, modules, and tools to ensure consistency and effectiveness across all locations.
- Lead the execution and rollout of training programs, conducting both virtual & in-person sessions for new and current employees.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of qualified trainers who will support the delivery of training initiatives at the restaurant level.
- Foster a culture of learning and development within the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Stay abreast of changes in employment legislation and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
- Review, updating, and maintenance of the employee handbook and company policies to ensure compliance with employment laws, company developments, and industry standards.
- Oversee the on-boarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles. Own end to end recruitment process, collaborate with co-founders to identify staffing needs.
- Manage payroll processing and benefits administration for restaurant staff, serving as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll/benefits.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to travel to various restaurant locations within the Bay Area as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resource Management and Training within the restaurant and/or hospitality industry
- Strong leadership skills with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
- Experience in workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic HR and training initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing end to end training programs within a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories. Experience in developing engaging and effective training materials, modules, and tools.
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, particularly those relevant to the restaurant industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with HRIS and LMS software (Workday, BambooHR, Cornerstone, Docebo, etc.)

LOCATION
This is a full-time position located in the San Francisco Bay Area. You should be able to easily commute to, from and between our various restaurants as needed. This will be a hybrid position of desktop-based work and in-person/in-operation work with our teams.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Starting Annual Salary of $130,000. Salary is subject to all applicable withholdings and deductions.
