Job Description:
Willmer Engineering is seeking a proactive and resourceful Part-Time (Project-Based) Sourcing Assistant to join our HR team remotely. This role is perfect for someone with strong research and organizational skills who can effectively support our recruitment efforts by sourcing potential candidates for various positions within the company. The primary goal of this role is to pull qualified candidates—especially passive candidates—into the hiring funnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
- Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline, including employee referrals and social networking.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies and use social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.), career fairs, community partnerships, diverse associations, industry networks, and other sourcing methods (i.e., cold calling) to actively recruit qualified candidates.
- Proactively identify candidates by utilizing multiple strategies, including searching online databases and social media sites, job boards, contact lists, networking, optimizing use of employee referrals, and ATS database, and attending industry and diversity-related events.
- Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
- Collaborate with the HR team to understand role requirements and project timelines.
- Utilize recruiting software to identify potential candidates, as sourcing increasingly becomes a digital activity.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in candidate sourcing or a related HR role, including recruiting from diverse sources and developing strong applicant pools.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to analyze the quality of resume writing.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable internet connection and your own laptop.
- Preferred experience with recruiting engineers.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate of $15-18, depending on experience.
- Flexible work schedule, with 10 hours per week. Project is expected to last a few months.
