Overview
Plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic optimization of our Workday HCM system, supporting critical HR processes from recruitment to performance management. This role allows you to leverage your Workday expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Essential Functions

Configure, test, and troubleshoot Workday modules (Recruiting, Reporting, HCM, Learning, Benefits, Talent, Performance).

Establish and maintain user access, security roles, and business processes.

Provide exceptional end-user support by conducting research, troubleshooting, resolving production issues promptly, and staying updated on Workday best practices and industry trends.

Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and enhance Workday setup.

Develop and maintain comprehensive job guides, documentation, and training materials.

Collaborate with change management to develop training materials and conduct internal customer training.

Proactively identify process inefficiencies, analyze problems, propose enhancements, and present recommendations to leadership.

Serve as a technical expert for Workday bi-annual releases, coordinating feature adoption, upgrades, and patches.

Demonstrate the ability to multitask and work independently while delivering high-quality work in a dynamic environment.

Interpret and communicate rules, regulations, policies, and procedures effectively and tactfully.

Ensure compliance with handling sensitive and confidential employee data.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Familiarity with City policies and procedures (preferred).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Learning, Onboarding, Recruiting, etc.).

Expertise in Workday functionality, advanced reporting, security, and configuration options.

Experience capturing requirements and documenting business processes.

Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and analyze issues using Workday knowledge.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle data with confidentiality.

Knowledge of HR practices (benefits, compensation, recruiting, performance management, etc.).

Effective organization and prioritization of work assignments.

Time and resource management skills to meet deadlines effectively.

Flexibility and adaptability to switch between tactical and strategic tasks.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
