Job Summary:
The Medical HR Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the HR functions specific to our medical staff. This position involves recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and performance management within the healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR with a focus on the medical or healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top medical talent.
- Coordinate the hiring process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection.
- Conduct background checks and verify credentials of medical staff.
- Onboarding & Orientation:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new medical employees.
- Ensure all necessary documentation and training are completed.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for medical staff regarding HR-related issues and concerns.
- Promote a positive work environment and address employee grievances promptly.
- Compliance & Record-Keeping:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Performance Management:
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal systems.
- Provide support in managing performance issues and disciplinary actions.
- Training & Development:
- Coordinate and support ongoing training and professional development programs for medical staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems.
- Knowledge of medical credentialing processes.
