Employee Relations Manager

Do you have strong leadership qualities, experience in Employee Relations, and want to work for a company that positively impacts the wellbeing of the individuals it serves? In the Employee Relations Manager role, you will help this company in its commitment to serve others by recommending procedures and courses of action and by providing consulting to field operations on employee relations issues.
- Formulate and recommend employee relations procedures in all areas of ER
- Provide counsel to field operations issues related to employee discipline and reviews, and make recommendations on CAPs, PIPs, termination decisions; provide follow-up as necessary
- Serve as main point of contact for employees and supervisors to answer questions related to employee relations issues or concerns
- Determine need to involve legal team; partner with legal on researching and responding to agency claims and legal actions
- Work with internal customers to implement positive and efficient processes that demonstrate integrity in approaches to employee relations investigations
- Provide oversight and subject matter expertise to ensure standardization of service delivery and tracking of employee relations activities across a geographically diverse workforce
- Evaluate employee relations inquiries with a high level of customer focus and sensitivity, and determine/recommend course of action
- Utilize case management system data to identify trends and patterns and report on findings; prepare narrative and statistical reports and make recommendations for preventing or reducing employee relations issues
- Update case reports with details of employee relations issues and the results of investigations
- Coordinate with the shared service center on issues related to unemployment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 5-7 years of related experience required
- At least 1 year in a management/supervisory role required for select operating group(s)
- Prior experience in navigating complex employee relations concerns preferred
- Knowledge of internal policies and external regulations that impact on employee relations resolution process
- Customer-service focused
- Excellent interpersonal skills, management skills, problem-solving, analytic, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Exceptional attention to detail
