Wells Fargo is seeking a
Lead Product Owner, HR Systems, to join the growing Human Resources (HR) Transformation & Products Team! This is an exciting opportunity to establish a world-class HR Employee Relations/Labor Relations and Employee Life Cycle product team and to achieve top company objectives. This role is responsible for owning the HR Employee Life Cycle events including employee separations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, proven contributor with strong communication and problem-solving skills, knowledge of the project tasks required to deliver solutions leveraging both in-house and SAAS based applications (ServiceNow and Workday). Candidates must have a proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (partners from COE business partners, HR, Legal, Technology, and Risk) and possess strong interpersonal skills. In this role, you will:
- Oversee overall product management and strategic focus for the most technical, complex, and diverse HR products and services
- Deliver solutions that are long-term, large scale, and require consideration of global market dynamics, trends, regulatory impact, and risk management
- Articulate product vision, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish goals, and provide direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver technology and processes for updating, upgrading technologies and vendor relationships
- Lead cross functional work streams to execute projects with quality and on-time
- Be accountable to articulate product vision, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish goals, manage stakeholders, and provide direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver technology and processes for updating/upgrading technologies and working with vendor relationships
- Engage with leaders, stakeholders, SMEs (subject matter experts), scrum team, to ensure success against stated objectives, ensuring the team is building the right solutions
- Drive requirements, incorporating product expertise and industry knowledge to discover and validate what has real value to the business
- Manage processes and routines needed to ensure that the product predictably delivers value, adjust planning in situations that may include financial, control, or process roadblocks. Inspect pre-release progress, recommend changes, and ensure timelines are met
- Ensure cross-functional dependencies are articulated, managed, and addressed to execute projects with quality and on-time
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of HR Systems experience (e.g., Workday, Peoplesoft, SAP, ServiceNow HRSD, Oracle, or similar)
- Experience with consulting, implementing, and product ownership of Human Resource products and tools
- Experience with Workday HR functional areas (Core HR, Payroll, Time, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition)
- Experience working in HR Systems that supported HR processes for Labor Relations/Union vs Non-Union population
- Experience leading scrum teams in an Agile environment and/or strong knowledge and understanding of Agile
- Experience influencing and managing cross-functional work streams to execute projects with quality and on-time
- Experience leading and facilitating workshops and discussions to effectively gather requirements and achieve a detailed understanding of client objectives and desired outcomes
- Experience gathering and translating technical requirements that have clarity for scrum teams to implement
- Experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors
