POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Analyst, Workday, Benefits and Payroll is responsible for managing all Workday transactions, reporting, and providing audit support in addition to managing and administering employee benefit programs and payroll processes within the division. The role requires a thorough understanding of benefits and payroll regulations and compliance, as well as strong analytical skills, communication, and problem-solving skills. The HRIS Specialist will report to the HR Manager and work closely with the Corporate Shared Services Group, Divisional Finance Department and Group Office.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
- Employee engagement: Foster a positive work environment and promotes employee engagement. Develop programs to improve employee satisfaction and well-being as it pertains to wellness and our benefit programs.
- Compliance: Ensure we are complying with relevant employment laws and regulations. Further develop and implement policies and procedures that support compliance.
- Lead: Implements HR strategies aligned with the organization’s objectives
- Communication: Communicate effectively with employees, managers and other stakeholders regarding Workday processes, payroll, and benefits.
- Accuracy: Ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time and that they receive the benefits to which they are entitled to. Audit and ensure Workday transactions are input correctly and timely and system changes are approved.
- Training: Provide new supervisors with timekeeping training and audit for accuracy and timeliness weekly
DUTIES:
- Manage benefits enrollment, including educating employees on benefits options, eligibility, and enrollment procedures.
- Resolve employee payroll and benefits issues and provide exceptional customer service to employees.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures related to benefits and payroll.
- Promote continuous improvement efforts relating to HR process. Promote and seek excellence in all aspects of the division.
- Manage payroll processing, including calculating and processing payroll, reviewing payroll reports for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in systems implementations related to payroll by defining requirements, participate in preparing test plans, and documenting test results.
- Division Program Administration of programs (EEPPP, MBC, open enrollment, etc.)
- Administer benefit programs including health benefits, COBRA, insurance for life and disability (short term and long-term), employee and family assistance, workers’ compensation, unemployment, etc.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of employee benefit plans and ensure all employee data is kept confidential and secure.
- Maintain the HRIS (Workday) regularly updating employee information, ensuring all information is kept current.
- Provide reporting and analysis of benefits and payroll data as required.
- Stay current on HR industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to benefits and payroll.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- In-depth knowledge of HR practices, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to handle matters of confidentiality discreetly and work with employees on issues requiring varying degrees of sensitivity.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leaders and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is preferred.
- Experience with Workday, Dayforce and ADP preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
