Job Summary:
Apollo’s HR Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing HR strategies, programs, and initiatives that support the organization's objectives and foster a positive work culture. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to drive organizational success through effective talent management, employee engagement, and HR leadership. This is a very hands-on role with a small, growing organization. There is no task too small to take on. Great opportunity for growth for the right candidate to expand the role as the organization grows. This is an Austin based remote role with expectation to attend our Round Rock location on occasion.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Oversee HR administration functions, including payroll (Sequoia PEO), benefits administration, HRIS management, and recordkeeping for the US/CA.
- Utilize HR analytics and data-driven insights to inform decision-making, measure HR effectiveness, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare regular HR reports and metrics for senior leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and HR analytics findings.
- Oversee Technical Recruiting Function
- Manage Federal contractor/ EEO-1 compliance.
- Conduct annual internal/external company audits.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for managers and employees on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and talent development initiatives.
- Conduct annual policy and procedure reviews with HR Team.
- Drive the full recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, sourcing, selection, and onboarding of top talent.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Champion initiatives to promote employee engagement, morale, and satisfaction, including employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and team-building activities.
- Identify training and development needs across the organization and design programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and capabilities.
- Organizational design including job matrix, job descriptions, and salary structure.
Required Skills:
- Experience with HR policies and business laws for the US and Canada
- HRIS setup and Management, experience with Bamboo, Seqouia, and others.
- Excellent analytical skills to create quarterly reporting using tools such as Power BI and Excel.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate HR initiatives into actionable plans driving results.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws and regulations.
- Experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Experience with APIs, Azure Directory, SharePoint, and supporting a remote workforce.
- Experience using E-Verify
Preferred Skills:
- Prism/Sequoia One/BambooHR knowledge
- Technical Recruiting Experience
- Experience with US and Canada HR Administration
- Running advanced analytic reports
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred or working towards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field, SHRM is preferred or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles with strategic oversight
