Armor Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to oversee the employee experience across our nationwide correctional healthcare facilities. This role involves managing employee relations, conducting employee check-ins, and working collaboratively with various departments to enhance the overall employee experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee relations and be proactive in addressing issues to prevent escalation.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Manage employee relations issues company-wide, providing guidance and resolution to ensure a harmonious work environment.
- Proactively address and resolve potential employee relations issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with human resources team to coordinate and deliver training as needed.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and implement improvements based on feedback.
- Functions as a key participant in onboarding and offboarding sites.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with Regional Vice Presidents and Health Service Administrators to align HR practices with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to provide comprehensive HR support.
- Partner with the talent acquisition and employee experience teams to ensure a seamless recruitment and onboarding process.
Onboarding and Employee Experience:
- Collaborate in the onboarding process to ensure new hires have a smooth and positive start.
- Participates in the regular employee check-ins and assists in the gathering of feedback from employees.
- Implement strategies to improve the employee lifecycle with an emphasis on retention.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Compile, analyze, and present data related to retention and other HR metrics.
- Use data-driven insights to inform HR strategies and initiatives.
Compliance and Legal Matters:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Prevent legal matters from escalating by addressing issues promptly and effectively.
- Assesses and responds to personnel issues including employee misconduct, harassment, and discrimination investigations.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in human resources, with a strong emphasis on employee relations.
- Proven experience in managing onboarding and improving employee experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel nationwide as required.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office tools including Excel.
