Works with Design Applications Training Team to develop and deliver training courses related to the CPS Energy GIS and other supporting applications. Executes learning development programs and processes. Collects and analyzes organizational and departmental data, identify best practices, and conducts research on industry trends to make business decisions.
- Deliver training on ArcFM, GIS Designer, ARM/Work Manager (WMIS), and other supporting applications and processes;
- Deliver training in-person and virtually;
- Continuously improve training effectiveness by incorporating safety, reliability, and customer service;
- Partner with business units and customers to coordinate, develop and facilitate training programs that meet desired business outcomes;
- Create and coordinates training schedules, monitor course enrollments and ensure course credit completion, track and report attendance and provide support for pre- or post- course activities;
- Organize, coordinate, and maintain all training related resources including training materials, audio/visual equipment, LMS System, SAP, and other applicable training software, such as Camtasia;
- Measure and report learning outcomes by creating and implementing knowledge and skill-based assessments;
- Coordinate with, and support, the training delivery staff;
- Apply and adapt an instructional design process to create Instructor Led and Computer-Based Training course documentation (i.e., learning objectives, participant guides, facilitator guides, assessments, handouts, visual aids, how-to’s, etc.);
- Develop business processes to support and sustain learning outcomes, to ensure adherence to work practices and policies as part of the transfer of learning to actual work performance/behavior;
- Conduct analysis of training needs to determine opportunities for improving performance, and to provide customized training for all areas;
- Benchmark, research, identify, and implement best practices for training methods and technology into new and revised training programs;
- Create training-related communication materials, market the availability of training courses, and promote developmental opportunities across the enterprise;
- Conduct on-site observations and personnel interviews to determine training needs, and support post-training utilization of skills for business unit operating systems or procedures;

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or Communication with a strong emphasis on grammar and writing skills, curriculum development, and instructional design;
- Experience and knowledge of ESRI’s ArcGIS applications including: ArcMap, ArcFM, and Designer GIS software;
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing edits on gas or electric facilities in GIS;
- Demonstrated proficiency in the planning processes using compatible units associated with the overhead electric, underground electric, and/or gas processes;
- Experience or knowledge in CPS Energy’s ARM/Work Management Information System (WMIS) for Work Requests;
- Knowledge and experience developing course documentation using adult learning theory and methodology, experiential learning activities, and facilitation of learning events;
- Ability to implement various training media to include: classroom training, CBT, Web, and e-learning;
- Previous experience with: training preparation, organizing and maintaining training documentation, and effective class delivery;
- Known for establishing and maintaining constructive and effective work relationships, relating well with individuals at all levels of an organization (internally and externally), using diplomacy and tact, and diffusing high-tension situations comfortably;
