Position Summary
The Learning Management System (LMS) Analyst is responsible for modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation and for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. The LMS Analyst acts as the administrator of the learning management system. S/he performs administrative tasks, including user support, troubleshooting, and system updates. S/he loads, configures, tests, and maintains learning content.
Our team is currently building out a new platform within Centrical. Experience within the Centrical platform highly preferred.
Position Specific Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and makes decisions to handle LMS issues, including report requests and other complex issues.
- Ensures all technical connections are established with stakeholders across the organization to ensure materials are correctly uploaded into the relevant learning system.
- Conducts LMS administration and configuration, including requirements gathering, the loading of content, testing, notifications, launching to end users, and post-production support.
- Updates courses, curriculum, and training modules, as needed, based on system enhancements, operational changes, and regulatory/policy changes.
- Manages the life cycle of content (i.e., uploading, updating, expiring, etc.) in accordance with established data integrity, rules, and LMS Enrollment processes for each functional business unit.
- Manages Relias Content Management content process for course assignments.
- Compiles and creates reports necessary for compliance audits promptly.
- Partners with vendors and consultants to ensure users are appropriately maintained in the LMS.
- Ensures all assessments are complete and accurately recorded for each course.
- Maintains and tracks log for LMS-related issues and creates reports for management review.
- Converts appropriate existing instructor-led courses to an e-learning format to meet the needs of an online learner.
- Provides SCORM assistance, including SCORM wrapping, package testing, and package uploading into learning platforms.
- Conducts Enterprise Platform Reporting (i.e., scheduled/regular and ad hoc reporting, data analysis including but not limited to measuring engagement).
- Maintains content library for Training and Development department by evaluating course usage and monitoring completions.
- Provides input into developing training programs, compliance training/processes, and/or content built using authoring tools.
- Engages with IT, Compliance, and HR teams to ensure integration between all learning technology HRIS and other programs/infrastructure.
- Supports the proper implementation and usage of the LMS through organization training, resource development, identification of issues, and user support.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, BIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Experience in course publishing, project data uploads, and course functionality required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Learning Management System administration, reporting and analytics, or similar experience preferred.
- Experience in creating, running, and distributing standard and sophisticated custom reports preferred.

- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, colleagues, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy. Ability to learn new technologies, software, and technical methodologies. Strong knowledge of subject-specific technologies. Proficient in collecting and organizing data effectively to perform basic analysis of training, leadership development, talent development, organizational and performance effectiveness. Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The demands of this role necessitate a team member to effectively perform essential functions. Regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity are fundamental, along with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
