Our client, a reputable company in Morris County, NJ, is seeking a Benefits Analyst with a minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems, with knowledge of PeopleSoft considered a plus. The role requires exposure to various benefit plans, benefit design, and the ability to escalate and resolve benefits issues efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor benefit costs and service provider fees.
- Validate the accuracy of internal participant and benefit enrollment data periodically.
- Perform benefit reconciliations, including but not limited to 401k, Medical and Rx claim funding, FSA, HSA, etc.
- Stay up-to-date on legislation related to benefits and ensure compliance.
- Assist with annual enrollment processes.
- Collaborate with HRIS Analyst to develop, test, and implement new plans, interfaces, reports, and changes to existing interfaces.
- Gather and analyze relevant data and draft reports to comply with state-legislated benefits and responses to benefit appeals.
- Strong analytical and accounting skills are necessary for performing reconciliations, cost analysis, and drawing sound operational and financial conclusions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft is a plus.
- Strong analytical and accounting skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Ability to escalate and resolve benefits issues effectively.
- Familiarity with various benefit plans and benefit design.
- Ability to perform benefit reconciliations and keep up-to-date on legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
