Director Talent Acquisition & Engagement
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director, Talent Acquisition & Engagement to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the organization's talent strategy responsible for driving employee engagement and attracting top talent. This multifaceted leadership position requires a dynamic individual who can seamlessly navigate the complexities of talent acquisition, employee engagement, and overall workforce optimization. You will be responsible for driving initiatives that attract, develop, and retain top-tier talent while fostering a positive and engaging workplace based on HOYA’s CLEAR Values.
Responsibilities:
1. Talent Acquistion Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Lead a team of recruiters to source, assess, and hire diverse talent across various levels and functions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand hiring needs and workforce planning.
2. Employer Branding:
- Enhance and promote the employer brand to attract top talent in the market.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create compelling employer brand messages and materials.
- Leverage social media and other platforms to showcase the organization as an employer of choice.
3. Employee Engagement:
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Collaborate with leaders across the organization to create and implement programs that promote a positive work environment.
- Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to assess employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
4. Onboarding & Talent Development:
- Partner with TM &OE on the design and implementation of effective onboarding programs for new hires.
- Collaborate with learning and development teams to identify training needs and create opportunities for skill enhancement.
- Support career development initiatives to encourage internal mobility and growth.
5. Data Driven Decision Making:
- Provide leaders with timely market data and insights to inform budget planning and compensation decisions, leveraging industry surveys and compensation studies to drive data-driven decision-making. –
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition and employee engagement initiatives.
- Regularly analyze data and provide insights to drive continuous improvement in HR practices.
6. Culture Cultivation:
- Implement policies and procedures that foster a culture of transparency, fairness, and trust, drawing inspiration from market leaders and industry innovators.
- Lead the Adoption of HOYA’s CLAR Values into the EVP and candidate experience Processes.
7. Communication and Education:
- Develop and deliver training to enhance our candidate experience in the interview process as well as use of Talent acquisition tools and processes.
8. Vendor Management and Innovation:
- Cultivate strong partnerships with vendors and service providers, seeking out innovative solutions and forging relationships based on trust, collaboration, and shared values.
9. Market Research and Benchmarking:
- Monitor market trends and industry benchmarks to ensure that our total rewards programs remain competitive and aligned with the needs and expectations of our workforce.
10. Continuous Improvement/HR Technology:
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by researching and implementing new technologies and best practices, championing innovation and creativity in everything we do.
- Develop a TA & Engagement Roadmap to deliver results and innovation into our candidate and employee experience processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in total rewards, compensation, benefits, or Human Resources.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to total rewards and HR systems.
- Proficiency with Oracle, ADP, Dayforce Systems preferred.
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.

- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
