As a Compensation and Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for administering the compensation and benefits programs to attract, retain, and motivate our top-tier legal professionals. You will collaborate closely with the Compensation & Benefits Manager, members of HR, finance, and other departments to design and administer compensation and benefits programs that align with our firm's strategic objectives. We’re looking for an energetic and solutions-focused individual who has top-class client service skills.
Responsibilities
Benefits Management:
- Assist in the administration of all employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and voluntary benefits.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, benefit vendors and brokers to assist in successful resolution of any issues with enrollment, claims, benefit coverage, etc.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with third party administrators, vendors, and internal staff, including Payroll, HR and Finance.
- Assist in the administration of all leaves of absence and accommodation requests, including FMLA, ADA, STD and LTD.
- Provide benefits orientation to new joiners at all levels and assist new joiners with enrolling in benefits.
- Support the annual Open Enrollment process, including participating in the project team and suggesting ideas for improvements.
- Contribute to wellness programming and manage wellness benefits.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and proactively suggest new or improvement benefits or programs.
Compensation:
- Conduct market research and analysis to feed into salary banding and structures.
- Support the Compensation & Benefits Manager in researching, designing, and implementing salary structures and incentive plans.
- Assist in the administration of annual compensation reviews.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation and benefits data.
- Assist in preparing regular reports to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Compliance and Regulation:
- Ensure all compensation and benefits practices are compliant with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Stay current with legislative changes and make necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
Communication and Education:
- Manage the benefits inbox, providing fast and thorough responses to queries.
- Communicate and educate employees and Partners about their compensation and benefits packages, including conducting workshops and providing individual guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- 1-3 years of experience in benefits administration, preferably within a law firm or a professional services environment.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills, with ability deal with sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

Salary range based on experience level and location is estimated to be in the range of $55,000-75,000.
