Ventures is seeking a Human Resources Senior Manager!
Ventures is a Seattle-based nonprofit that empowers thousands of low-income members in our community to change their lives through small business ownership, both through financial empowerment, and through creating confidence and agency in traditionally under represented communities.
We are growing exponentially and looking for an experienced, hands-on HR leader who is excited about the opportunity to help us build the people systems, policies, and team to support our dedicated staff.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing the company's strategy around people and culture. The Human Resources Senior Manager oversees and is hands-on with day to day human resources operations by providing the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper people and procedures in place to successfully function and operate efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be a confident, innovative, and compassionate individual that can bring a point view on policy and will partner in a collaborative and inclusive manner. Reporting to the Executive Director, this goal-oriented, savvy leader will embrace and implement Ventures’ mission throughout all duties performed.

Ventures is seeking candidates with:
- 8+ years experience in human resources/personnel management
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology or related field
- Experience working directly with an Executive Director or higher
- Strategic planning and policy-making experience
- Experience in all HR disciplines such as employee relations, full-cycle recruiting, benefits and leave administration, reporting, training, coaching, employee development etc.
- Occasional evening/weekend work as required by assignments
- Experience in both nonprofit and private sector and understanding the structure of a Board of Directors Governance in a nonprofit preferred
- Understanding of the Office of Labor Standards in the city of Seattle, and how to implement the rules preferred
- Knowledge of industry best practices preferred
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $70-80k, with the possibility of a first-year bonus. This is a hybrid position in Seattle.
