Position Title: Church HR Advisor
Position Type: Part-Time, 25 hours/week – REMOTE POSITION

Who WE Are
HR Ministry Solutions is a faith-based non-profit organization that serves churches & ministries by helping them with their HR needs. This faith-based 501c3 organization was launched with the mission of helping churches be as passionate about protecting and providing for their staff as they are for the people they are reaching.
HRMS continues to grow rapidly and has expanded its outreach nationwide with services and resources including workshops, conferences, webinars, and online learning modules for Church HR People and Ministry Managers. A few of these services and resources include HR audits, compensation audits, HR essentials, conferences, webinars, and online learning modules.
Role Snapshot
The role of the HR Advisor is to assist church and ministry clients with HR Audits, Staff Handbooks, Job Descriptions, and other services while helping them scale those ministry-specific HR questions they have.

How You Will Contribute
- Conduct virtual church/ministry HR Audits
- Create Audit Gap Analysis Reports & Action Checklists
- Walk clients through church best practices for a multitude of HR areas
- Customize Staff Handbooks
- Research and provide HR answers based on ministry best practices & compliance
- Meet with clients to go over gaps in their HR & what we can do to help
- Create policies, forms, checklists, guides, and other documents for clients
- Edit various documents for flow and errors
- Create job descriptions
- Develop timelines and blueprints for each client’s project
- Track projects in SmartSheet to keep clients moving along their blueprint timeline
- Communicate with clients through emails or phone calls in a professional manner
- Meet regularly with the Senior HR Advisor & Project Coordinator(s)
- Manage information in CRM database, updating as needed
- Stay up to date on new HR legislation both secular and church-related
- Understand and advise on wage and hour issues including ministerial exception
- Conduct Basic Compensation Audits
- Audit 1099 classifications
- Create Org Charts & Staff Tiers in collaboration with clients
- Other related duties as assigned
You Got Skills?
- 1+ years of church or ministry experience
- 2+ years of HR experience (A+ if you have California, Washington and/or Oregon HR experience)
- Rocks with MS Word & Excel
- Excels at business casual email & phone etiquette
- Quick learner of new software
- Tackled some college, preferably with a degree

Salary: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour

Experience:
HR experience:
- 2+ year (Required); prefer CA, OR or WA HR experience
