Location: Hybrid at Kohler, WI
Opportunity
This role supports the HRBPs in the activity of linking HR to the success and strength of the organization. Works closely with H2R and GSS to ensure processes are followed consistently within the manufacturing facilities.
Specific Responsibilities
Manufacturing Recruiting
- Creating internal requisitions, sending out awards, etc.
- Closing KCM req, submitting HRDS, etc.
New Associate Orientation
- Sending out welcome emails, asking for badge photo
- I9 process (frees up the whole pool HR group if just 1 person doing them)
- Help new hires with Employee Single Sign-on IT issues to allow them to do new hire paperwork and sign up for benefits.
FMLA
- Submit HRDS to put out, calling associate to return.
- Forwarding approved/denied emails to supervisors.
- Working with FMLA team on any issues that may arise (not receiving STD, etc.)
- Associate Discipline Administration
Processing Warnings
- Send to Corporate HR and Union Hall
- File warnings in SharePoint
- Create/Send 3rd& Final Warning Letters and Resignation/Termination Letters
Payroll Concerns
- Partner with associate, supervision, and payroll to address payroll questions.
- Coordinate Retirement/Anniversary gifts, celebrations, and communication within division.
General Administration
- Update Labor Law Posters in all plants
- File paperwork
Skills/Requirements
- Associates Degree or Administrative Assistant Certification required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 3 + years of prior administrative experience required. Previous experience working in HR or experience working with confidential information a plus. (Willing to consider a 4-year degree in lieu of direct work experience as a developmental assignment.)
- Self-directed and anticipatory in terms of fluctuation of workload based on the HR calendar cycle and ability to reprioritize regularly in peak times.
- Proficient with MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience working within Data Privacy requirements and with confidential information.
- Able to maintain customer focus while handling high volume workload.
- Demonstrates urgency, initiative, anticipate the needs of your manager and HR team, and superior problem-solving capability. Thorough with exceptional organizational skills.

The hourly range for this position is $21.10 - $26.40. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
