Learning and Development Specialist
Southwest Solutions Group is seeking an innovative Learning and Development Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive learning and development system that aligns with the organization's strategic goals and fosters employee growth and professional development. The Learning and Development Specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders, including managers and subject matter experts, to create engaging and impactful learning content while also providing management training and support. Pay: $25- $35 hourly
Hybrid- 3 days a week in the office
Responsibilities
Learning and Development Systems
- Research, evaluate, and recommend learning management systems (LMS) or other learning platforms to support the organization's training needs.
- Build, implement, and maintain the learning and development system, ensuring a user-friendly and efficient experience for employees and managers.
- Oversee the integration of various learning resources, including e-learning modules, webinars, workshops, and other training materials.
- Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning system through data analysis and feedback, making continuous improvements to enhance the learning experience.
Content Creation and Curriculum Development
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to identify learning needs and create relevant, engaging, and impactful learning content.
- Develop and curate a diverse range of training materials, including presentations, videos, interactive activities, and assessments, to support various learning modalities.
- Ensure that all learning content aligns with the organization's goals, values, and policies while incorporating industry best practices and innovative learning techniques.
Management Training and Support
- Work closely with managers to assess their training needs and design customized management development programs to enhance leadership skills and competencies.
Deliver management training sessions or facilitate workshops as needed, covering topics such as performance management, communication, conflict resolution, and team building

Learning Initiatives and Evaluation
- Identify and lead learning initiatives that address critical skills gaps and advance organizational objectives.
Conduct evaluations and assessments to measure the impact and effectiveness of learning programs, using data-driven insights to make data-backed decisions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and managing learning and development systems and programs is a plus.
- Strong instructional design skills with the ability to create engaging and impactful training content for various learning modalities.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
