What you will do:
- Work closely with our Human Resources Business Partners to help provide HR support to the business
- Perform administrative duties like scheduling and arranging travel for senior HR partners; the administrative portion of the role will be approximately 20%, while the HR responsibilities will fill the other 80%
- Gain experience in all HR related disciplines including, but not limited to: compensation, recruiting and onboarding, policy guidance, talent management, employee relations, data analytics, organizational development and restructuring, training, and performance management.
- Support the recruiting process through communication with hiring managers and potential candidates, management of job descriptions, creation of Workday positions and initiation of job requisitions.
- Assist with the annual compensation and performance management process.
- Research and interpret HR policies and procedures and respond to day-to-day inquiries from clients.
- Provide and analyze data for workforce planning initiatives, finance, RFPs, and other requests as needed.
- Manage the onboarding and exit process for employees, conducting exit interviews and analyzing exit trends.
- Help research various training options.
- Manage our new hire partner process.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and follow-up skills. Handle requests with a sense of urgency while demonstrating the utmost confidentiality and judgement.
- Contribute to team projects and assist teammates with various ad-hoc requests as workloads dictate.
- Perform limited administrative duties like meeting scheduling, expense reports, travel arrangements, drafting promotion letters, ordering supplies, etc.
What you will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field strongly preferred; Recent or soon to be college graduates will also be considered.
- 1-3 years in a Human Resources Process/Operations role, with experience in the financial services industry preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, proven organizational skills, and ability to see the big picture.
- Ability to take direction from and provide support to multiple clients simultaneously.
- Flexibility. Can develop and sustain positive working relationships, work independently as well as in a team, and influence others across the global HR environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail, follow-through, drive for results and initiative with the ability to bring issues to closure.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Excellent work ethic with the flexibility to work beyond standard hours as needed.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint skills.

This role is primarily based at our offices in Newark, NJ and currently follows a hybrid schedule with part of the time being spent in the office and part being remote. The opportunity for limited travel exists as well.

Salary Range Disclosure:
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary range for this role is from $60,000 to $70,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. This role is also eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits including a competitive, discretionary, annual cash bonus opportunity,. Eligibility to participate in the discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
