Overview:
IDG is seeking a Variable Compensation Analyst, who will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing the variable compensation programs within our organization. The Variable Compensation Analyst will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure that our compensation plans effectively align with business objectives, drive performance, and retain top talent.

This role is 100% remote in an approved remote US approved location. (Preferably, mid-west US)
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and assist in modeling and calculating variable compensation programs that align with business goals, market benchmarks, and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize variable compensation structures using analytical skills, attention to detail, and understanding of compensation principles.

Analyze industry trends and best practices to recommend enhancements or modifications to existing compensation plans.

Utilize data analysis techniques to assess the effectiveness of current compensation programs and identify areas for improvement.

Develop models and simulations to evaluate the impact of proposed changes to variable compensation structures.

Interpret quantitative and qualitative data to provide insights into compensation trends and patterns.

Assist with the administration of variable compensation plans, including tracking performance metrics, calculating payouts, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.

Serve as a subject matter expert on sales compensation policies and procedures, providing guidance to managers and employees as needed.

Maintain documentation and records related to compensation plans, ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to explain compensation plans, policies, and procedures, and address any questions or concerns.

Develop training materials and conduct workshops or presentations to educate managers and employees on variable compensation concepts and practices.

Act as a liaison between Sales, HR, Finance, and other departments to facilitate communication and collaboration on compensation-related matters.

Monitor and evaluate the performance of variable compensation programs against predefined metrics and objectives.

Prepare regular reports and dashboards to communicate key performance indicators, trends, and insights related to compensation.

Recommend adjustments or revisions to compensation plans based on performance analysis and feedback from stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional) preferred.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in Sales Compensation, Forecasting and Modeling.
- 2-3 years of proven experience with sales compensation tools such as Xactly, Varicent, Everstage
- Prior experience using Sales Force, and various BI tools such as Tableau

Proven experience in compensation analysis, including designing and managing variable compensation programs.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, statistical software).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in compensation administration.
- Knowledge of Sales compensation relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in compensation and benefits.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $85,000,and 95,000 is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
