JOB SUMMARY
The Onboarding Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition for new employees from the time they accept an offer through their first day of employment. Acting as a concierge to both the new employee and hiring manager, this role is responsible for orchestrating the onboarding process, providing guidance, support, and assistance to facilitate a positive experience for all parties involved.
JOB DUTIES
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates once they have accepted an offer, providing them with essential information and resources to prepare for their start date.
- Build rapport and establish a positive relationship with new hires, addressing any concerns or questions they may have during the onboarding process.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand the specific needs and requirements for each new hire's onboarding process.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to ensure a seamless transition for new employees, including scheduling orientation sessions and facilitating introductions to key team members.
- Coordinate logistics for new hire orientation, including equipment setup, and onboarding materials.
- Provide timely and accurate information to new employees regarding company policies, procedures, benefits, and other essential resources.
- Serve as a resource for answering questions and addressing concerns related to the onboarding process, ensuring clarity and understanding for all parties involved.
- Solicit feedback from new hires and hiring managers to identify areas for improvement in the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement enhancements and streamline onboarding procedures for future hires.
- May assist or manage other duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years of previous experience in HR, recruitment, or an onboarding coordination role is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with HRIS systems is advantageous.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering a positive onboarding experience for new employees.
The incumbent typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 20 pounds.
